Learning? A Lot!
Nothing replaces being in the same room, face-to-face, breathing the same air and reading and feeling each other’s micro-expressions.
~ Peter Guber
How right that is!
Spending a couple of days at the FLVS Professional Learning Conference has been both exhausting and exhilarating. To everyone who shared a story, expressed some gratitude, explained a concern, or created opportunities … THANK YOU!
Don’t stop now. We explained how important is your feedback; we pointed out how significant is your dialogue. We really do want to walk in your shoes at Ucompass. You should know that by now. As much as you have told us how you appreciate our listening, we value your speaking. We actually had a “live” blog today. So, what did you miss seeing that gets rolled out tonight? We’ll keep this short and sweet. Keep those cards and letters coming, folks.
There are teachers who use this to help manage their plans for the week. Beginning this week, you will no longer be limited to last week or whatever. You can add your own date range!
Until today you could not readily select to send feedback on exams or quizzes to a student’s parent/supervisor. That’s been changed as well! Scroll to the bottom of the exam and check away.
PLEASE NOTE: If there is no checkbox for a supervisor present, this means that Educator has no record as such. Please verify as needed.
Have you ever wanted just to leave your students a note and let them know that you’ll be gone a while? This might stop the “where are you?” notes from multiplying in your inbox. Maybe you just want to avoid the calls that begin, “I’ve been sending you emails.” No matter the reason, we have heard your words:
“I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but having and out of office reply in the Educator email would be awesome ”
Go to Mailbox> Email Preferences.
Fill it in. Just remember that the date you select is the final date of the reply. It will send a maximum of one per day to a sending email address. Try it yourself and see!
There you have it … short and sweet. Meeting and greeting and listening and sharing with so many of you was a great pleasure for us all. Thank you again. We’ll be back! Let us know how it goes.
